Not having perfect eyesight can suck, but don't let that get you down. We can always have fun with coloured or patterned contact lenses, although i wouldn't suggest the latter for obvious reasons. The boyfriend was pretty against the idea but nothing stops me.
There are really a variety available out there, so take your time to pick. I went for what i thought was the most natural looking pair. 1-Day Acuvue Define in Vivid Style was exactly what i was looking for.
Needless to say, if you're Asian, brown is almost as far as "natural" goes. Dark brown on black pupils are really acceptable and hardly noticeable. 15 pairs cost about $50. Personally, it's a steep price to pay for 2 weeks of daily wear (3 pairs of montly clear lenses cost about the same). You can get it for $40+ if you find optical shops that are having promotions.
Apart from being coloured, the 1-Day Acuvue Define also "enlarges" the pupils. This though can be inconvenient or scary rather. Let me explain. Contact lenses can sometimes move around when you blink. With coloured lenses, when the above-mentioned happens, it might look like you have double pupils like in that scary movie.
Dry eyes, stay away. Everyone else, bigger looking eyes, here we come!

ReplyDeleteThis post is about Vivid. I also bought Natural Shine and will be writing a review of that when I get a chance. Acuvue Define are daily contacts but I know Japan has bi-weeklies available in Vivid style.
