March Bellabox 2013 - Spring in your Step

Hey all, we are in the midst of March. How time flies and we are already heading to April. So since its the month of March, let's take a look at this month Bellabox.

                             

This month's edition box is the same as the February's edition. It is red, except that there is a sticker of two flowers stuck on the box to represent 'Spring"

So this was what was inside when i open the box. The color of the wrapper is gorgeous. It does give a feeling of spring!  Ok, let's move on to see what products are in it. ( Honestly speaking, i wasn't very pleased with what i have received)

1. Lemongrass House Shower Gel 260ml/$19.25

Description : All natural, eco-friendly massagw oil provides a luxurious out of body experience with gorgeous scents that stimulates the sense. Use it after a hard workout, with a loved one or as a moisturiser right out of the shower.

Why OH WHY!! Of all things, i have to get a bottle of shower gel. I don't need one!! I m happy with my current Johnson and Johnson shower cream. Anyway the packaging of this shower gel doesn't look attractive. It looks like the kind of shower gel which i can find and obtain from a motel or a chalet. But i have yet to try it, so we'll see how it goes.

2. Dr CI : Labo Super Washing Foam Ex 100ml/$47

Description : This special cleanser isn't like any other foam product you've used. The thick lather acts as a cushion that protects skin and an absorption agent that takes in dirt, oil and dead skin, carrying it away as its rinsed off.

OMG! ANOTHER FACIAL WASH PRODUCT! I have been receiving facial wash products from Bellabox every single month. If every of these products are good, then which should i buy? Anyway this brand was named as World's No.1 Medical Cosmetics. But honestly, i have never even heard of this brand. I am rather skeptical about this product.

3.  Dr CI: Labo Aqua- Collagen- Gel Super Moist Ex 50ml / $65 Description:  This unique gel formulation of this moisturiser allows over 120 skin-improving ingredients to be delivered deep down into your pores! Skin is firmed, brightened, smoothed. What more could you ask for. How about pore unclogging action and a barrier of protection against the elements? You got It!.
Yes, another product from the same brand. But the description of this seems very good. Also, over 23 millions jars of this gel have been sold worldwide. This shall be the first product from this month's box that i would try.
 

4. Mox Botanicals Lip Balm $19
Description:  Forget about little girl lip gloss, Mox Bonticals provides grown up high-end appeal with truely restorative ingredients. Keep your lips as young and fresh as they were when you had your first taste of watermelon-flavoured lip balm. Now you can satisfy your more sophisticated palate with Black Plum & Fig. Coconut Almondine and Yakima Valley Peppermint, to name just a fw of their delectable ingredients.

So apparently, this is a cult favorite at Bellabox website. I wonder why? I have not tried this yet, but the smell of it already puts me off as i do not like the smell and taste of coconut. Perhaps i shall give this away.

5. Wonderstruck Enchanted By Taylor Swift 50 ml/ $89 and 100ml/$109 Description:  Inspired by the excitement and blush of a new romance. Taylor Swift's new fragrance envelops you in a feeling of enchantment. An irresistible concoction of Wild berries, sugar0glazed champaca petals and white freesia, this scent leaves you completely enamored. Wonderstruck Enchanted's blend of creamy flowers and sensual woods capture you in a spellbinding allure much like the feeling of falling in love.
This might be many ladies' favorite item for this month's box. However, i do not like floral perfumes. This is more suitable for my sister. But too bad, she is in Australia now  :( This perfume is too strong in floral scent, and has a powdery smell to it. It is too sweet for my liking. Suited for ladies who love perfumes like Ralph Lauren's Romance, Marc Jacob's Daisy, etc.











So overall conclusion for this month's edition of Bellabox. I m quite disappointed with it. I would most probably unsubscribe to it, as the items are getting more and more lousy.  I am tired of receiving facial wash,scrubs,etc and moisturizer. Where are the makeup items and nail polishes?

February Bellabox 2013 - Valentine's day edition

Hey all, so chinese new year is over. How is your collection of Ang Pow? Ours was great!! More money means more spending on beauty products..Yahoo!! Haha 


So back to the topic, lets take a look into my February 2013 Bellabox

                             

This month's edition came in my favorite color, RED!!!  which was different from other months' bellabox as is usually in pink. But because this month's edition is to celebrate valentine's day. Red symbolizes LOVE <3

So this was what was inside when i open the box. Isn't the wrapper cute!!!  I tried to gently open the wrapper as i wanted to keep wrapper. However the wrapper was very fragile, the quality was even thinner than my toilet paper. Haha.. Ok, let's move on to see what products are in it.

1. Adonis Dermatox Anti-Toxin 70ml/$78

Description : The Adonis dermatox anti-toxin is aa purification solution to clear congested pores and remove toxins from within the skin. When applied, there would be a pungent smell due to the reaction between the product and the toxins in the skin which will reduce with frequent use. Suitable for all skin types.70ml/$78

Since young, Adonis was a company that was well-known for its slimming treatments on advertisements.  Later on in years, they have expand on to facial treatments. So i decided to try this product since it was is an established company. I have only tried this one, and i must say there wasn't any immediate effect. However, there was indeed a pungent smell but it was very minimal. Not that pungent. Does that mean i have very little toxin on my face?? haha

2. Adonis Herbal Peel Gel 80ml/$58

Description : With seven botanic ingredients, the Adonis Herbal Peel Gel exfoliates the skin gently to remove dead skin cells, revealing a brighter and smoother skin tone after use

I have  yet to try this, so i would try this out later and see how it goes.

3.  Avance Dou Dermaquillant Super 100ml / $28.90
Description:  Gentle on the delicate eye area, the Avance Dou Demaquillant Super is an effective eye makeup remover that cleans off waterproof makeup . The Chamomile extract and Trehalose gently moisturizes while smoothing the eye area.

I have 2 favorite products for this month edition, and this is one of them. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this!! It is so darn good. It works even better than the Chanel makeup removal that my sis have. Just pour this on a cotton wool, leave the cotton wool on to your eyes for 5 seconds, and then wipe it off. It doesn't even leave smudge marks of mascara and eye liner on my eyes. Also, it is really gentle and suitable for all skin type. I am  so going to purchase this product.

4. Lanvin Marry Me! 30ml/$76,  50ml/$108, 75ml/$136
Description: The Lanvin marry me was created with the intention to suggest the strong bond that women have with their perfume. With fruity top notes of bitter orange, Freesia and Peach, the Lanvin Marry me is a playful marriage of feminine and flirty.

This is my second favorite product. It suits me well and it smells very good. It really does have a fruity scent to it and does not have a trace of floral in it which is good. It is very different from my Hugo Boss perfume which is musky, but i like it as it still has a strong characteristic to it. The smell of a "powerful yet flirty" woman.. haha, my description is so weird! lol

5. Institut Du Karite Extra Gentle Body Milk 250 ml/ $33
Description: Highly valued for its rich moisturizing properties, the shea butter in the Institut du Karite Extra Gentle Body Milk is able to protect and nourish skin against environmental damage. Delicately scented, the extra Gentle Body Milk also provides essential vitamins for skin revitalization and elasticity and is suitable for all skin types.


I have seen this product many times before. But i have yet to try it, but i suppose it is good as many women own this product. 




So besides these products, i have also received complimentary vouchers to Adonis Facial Treatment. I am quite hesitant to make an appointment there as i am afraid of hard selling and i would not be able to resist it. So i guess i would give it a miss :( 
So overall conclusion of this month's bellabox, it was ok. But i am rather disappointed that the sample size for my 2 favorite product was really really tiny! Whether this month box was worth $19.90. I am not very sure. I would definitely love to receive OPI or makeup products though. 

This would be my last post for February, and i shall see you ladies in March :)

Perfumes

One other type of product that i would get as presents are....perfumes, no surprises there. But perfumes to me are pretty personal. I like what i like, and what i don't, stays on the shelf. Last year however, last magical year, everyone got it right.

Burberry London from my boyfriend because....I DROPPED THE LARGE BOTTLE AND SPILLED EVERY LAST DROP in the public toilet after gym class last month. I cried that day. My good friend got my Gucci Flora which i have been hooked on to since its first heavenly drop got sprayed only my neck. haaaaaaa~ And finally Versace Bright Crystal. The old bottle is that one in the back which you can see has a huge crystal cap. It's left with about 10 sprays (LOL) but my boyfriend gave it to me on christmas last year, so it has sentimental value. This year's bottle of the same, which you can see nicely wrapped in the pink box, was from my mom. Everything else here is either a sample or really old. Tommy girl 10 was passed from my sister. Tommy girl jeans was the first perfume my mom approved and bought for me back in secondary school. Chanel was given by my aunt, it has ONE spray left but i refuse to throw it. The Paris Hilton stripped pink bottle was from mommy back when i was in Poly. The one on top, the legendary OCEANIA, who can forget the smell that saved us from the smell of P.E. I don't remember how or why i have this.

I'm in an ultimate lousy mood right now. So i will not continue with the samples. See you soon people. People who don't really like freebies.
