January Bellabox 2013 - CNY Edition

I am one who loves surprises, i.e is of course good surprises!! Therefore after much research done on the many beauty boxes that are available in Singapore such as the Bellabox, Vanity Trove and Glamabox. I have decided to subscribe to Bellabox as most of the items that were given monthly as compared to its competitors, are items that i would most probably be interested in, and they have a wide variety of items in each box monthly. 

As i was a late subscriber for the month of January, i had missed out on the Macadamia Natural Oil Infused Hair Comb which was the hottest item for the January box. However, i was glad to receive something else to replace that item as i am not really interested in products for hair unless its a hair spray or hair curler/iron! Btw, the delivery was pretty fast. Subscription to date of arrival of the box took only about a week.

So ladies, lets take a look into my January 2013 Bellabox..

                              

Inside is a light pink colored box (right) that is protected by a layer of hot pink cardboard (left). The packaging is very girly <3

So these are the items i have receive. I was actually very surprise as it was not the same as what others have receive for their January edition, which was a good thing for me! Lets take a closer look of what is inside.

1. $5 Sasa Voucher

This was the first thing that greeted me when i first opened the box. However, you have to spend a minimum of $30 in Sasa before you are eligible to use this.
Next, it is only valid for one month. In my case, it is only valid for 2 weeks as the date of issue of the voucher is 10 January and i have only receive my box today (26 January)

 

2. Skinfood Watery Berry Toner 160ml/$41.90 and Emulsion 160ml/$41.90

Description : The Watery Berry Toner and Emulsion contains Cloudberry and Lingonberry extracts that are excellent antioxidants. Along with Hyaluronic Acid, they work to penetrate deep within the skin to moisturize with a lightweight finish.

I have never tried any facial products from Skinfood, so i would try this out and see how it goes.

3.  Cyber Colors Gemstone - Lip Surge $20.90
Description: Cyber Colors Gemstone Lip Surge contains natural gemstone powders create luminous 3D lip contours and long lasting lip colors. It also contains Real High-Water, nourishing and moisturizing factors to form a moisture-lock layer and avoid formation of fine lines on lips.

This was my favourite item among the whole lot. It is such a steal <3 <3
The color is just how i like it to be. Peachy pink. This has proved to me that the people at Bellabox does look at your profile and take into consideration of the items that are to be sent to each of their subscriber.

4. Ichikami - Shampoo 550ml/$16.90 & Conditioner 550ml/$16.90, Intensive pack treatment
 5 tubes/$19.90
Description: Infused with Japanese botanicals and a very distinctive sakura scent, the Ichikami Hair care series have won the likes of beauty editors and clinched the Yahoo! Beauty Awards in 2012.

Wow,i have never heard of this brand before. I think i have got to give this brand a try since it has clinch an award and won over many beauty editors. I really wonder is it as good as it sounds?

5. The Skin Shop - Premium Secret Snail Vital Mucin Mask 10 pcs per box / $35.90
Description: Containing snail secretion filtrate, The Skin Shop- Premium Secret Snail vital Mucin Mask offers superior moisture to the skin which improves skin elasticity and helps smoothen rough skin.

Hmmm, yet another facial product. But the funny thing about this product was, at the back of the sample, there were pictures of men with flawless skin. I wonder is this a product that was actually meant to cater the males instead of females??? Perhaps i should get a guy to test this out for me.

6. Skinmiso- Pore Beauty Nose Pack 10pcs per box/$27.90
Description: Hailing from Korea, the Skinmiso Nose Pore Beauty Nose pack will help you get rid of blackheads and whiteheads in the comfort of your own home. This 3 step system allows you to remove blackheads and whiteheads painlessly and effectively.

I was just wondering, with so many facial products given, i would expect my whole face to be thoroughly cleanse with the cleanser, toner, mask, etc. so i don't think this would be of much use? perhaps i should have a giveaway contest and have this item as one of the giveaways??


 
So in conclusion. i would give this month's box a thumbs up. It really got me excited in ripping the packaging apart and treating it like a treasure box where all the treasures are waiting for me to be discovered. Lol. Also, i would be continuing my monthly subscription. So do stay tune for the February edition of Bellabox.
Btw, i must say that this month's Bellabox for Singapore was much better than the one in Australia  :))) Lol!

Breathe right

Dear readers, do you have problems such as snoring or having a blocked nose? Well, i have a solution for you without having to go through nasal operation.

Introducing : Breathe Right

This item really works wonder. It really helps to clear the congestion in nose.
An example of how good it is, would be that sometimes when i have a blocked nose and a delicious meal is placed right in front of me, it upsets me that i can't taste or smell the food. But with breathe right, all i  need to do is place the strip on my nose, and i am able to breathe, taste and smell my food. The relieving of the congestion is instant.
Another problem would be my snoring problem. I am unable to really breathe through my nose when asleep, instead i breathe through from my mouth which causes snoring. But with breathe right, it really reduces my snoring alot!!

Effectiveness : 5/5 Stars. Its really that good, as you really get what they promise

Pricing : 4.5/ 5 Stars. If i am not mistaken, its around $9.50 for 30 strips. It comes in different sizes and colour.

Kao Biore Pore Pack

Hey all, finally had the time to update a new post. Today i will be presenting something that i have used frequently during my secondary school, and recently i decided to try it again.
Remember the days when you have just started puberty, and is prone to getting blackheads?
Well i am sure many of you have used this before when it was first launched.

Presenting to you : Kao Biore Pore Pack

Well, nothing much has changed over the years for this product, except for the part where they claim that is now formulated with pore tightening properties. It is still easy to use. All you need to do is put the pore strip on your dry nose, dab water on the pore strip and wait for 15 minutes before stripping it off.
It does remove your blackheads to a certain extent, but not completely. However, i do not feel anything about the pore tightening part that they claim.
In fact, my review of another similar product about on "Ginvera green tea marvel gel" is more effective in removing the blackheads and also has whitening properties. However biore is a cheaper options as its 3 times cheaper than Ginvera.

Effectiveness : 3/5 stars. Does remove blackheads but not completely. Thumbs down for the pore tightening formula that they claim to have.

Pricing:4.5/5 stars. This can be bought at all supermarket and it costs $4.95 for 10 strips. There is also a male version for biore pore pack as i heard that guy's blackheads are more difficult to remove.

This is the outcome, and before i review it I just want to say that this nose doesn't belong to me..it belongs to my 12 year old cousin who is undergoing puberty,therefore explaining the many blackheads seen..(which can proves whether this product really works)

As you can see from the photos, my cousin's nose complexion really became fairer, however the removal of blackheads wasn't as good as it claimed..for those who have watch the advertisement for this product, i have no idea why the girl crying even if the product did effectively remove her blackhead.. in fact, after using the product, my cousin told me that she prefers using the blackhead extractor -_-''..so i think whether to purchase this product would be up to an individual.

Effectiveness: I have given it 3.75 smiley face as it does work only to a certain extent/5
