I love having pretty nails, how about you ladies? I have always been in love with all the gradient nail art and I was so happy to purchase this from Korea's Daiso.
This was sold at 3000 won = SGD 3.80! Super cheap for a set of 3 nail polishes.
There were many other colors, but I decided to try the pink one out. I was actually skeptical at first as some Daiso products were of lousy quality, therefore I have only gotten one. However, I truly regret not getting more of this as they do not sell this in Singapore, ( Perhaps they do but I have yet to search for it) and it's effect on my nails is really pretty <3
The first step would to be apply this baby pink color all over the nails.
Next, apply this baby pink glitter on the top half of your nails.
Finally, apply this dark pink glitter polish on 1/4 of your nails ( from the top) .
And here is the beautiful result. It is really pretty, fun and easy to apply.
I would definitely recommend any ladies going to Korea to get this. Trust me you would not regret it and it's comparable to Faceshop gradient nail polish set which costs 4X more than this which gives you the same effect. So why not save the money and get 4 different Daiso gradient nail polish sets?

Revlon Nail Polish
Hey ladies, i am sure most of you would have heard about this brand ,Revlon. However, what i do not know was that besides manufacturing makeup products, they do produce nail polish as well.
So a few months back, my mum was at Japan, and she bought and brought back this Revlon Nail Polish. The color of this nail polish is rather interesting as it has mix tints of green and grey with glitters in it ( as seen in the picture below). I have not seen this concoction anywhere in Singapore, and i am wondering if Japan's fun and unique culture has anything to do with this nail polish ??
So let's see take a look at the results of this uniquely colored Revlon nail polish.
As you can see from the result, the color isn't very obvious. and i will consider this color rather mild. However as mentioned above, it does have its own unique shade to it and it takes 2 coatings in order for the color to be truly visible. Application wise, it is rather smooth but the removal of it was rather difficult as the glitter truly sticks on to your nails and i had to rub it hardly with the nail removal solution in order for it to be removed completely.
Overall i would still use this nail polish as it is unique. I am not sure whether Singapore has this edition, but do let us know if there is. As i would like to check out the other unique colors. Till then, stay beautiful ladies :)

Hello kitty nails stick on
Hey all, how was your CNY celebration? Ours was great, we sure feast a lot too.
So as you know, manicure and pedicure prices would soar up during this festive season. Therefore i decided to opt for something cheaper. This time round i decided to do nails stick on/ stickers, moreover the design is hello kitty :)
Lets take a look at the Sanrio Hello Kitty Nail Stick On
Using the nail filer, file the excess of the stick on. File it the way in how you would file your nails normally.
Lastly, remember to use a top coat to protect the stick on.
This is how the end product looks like :)
Do feel free to comment if you have any questions regarding this in our comment box. Toddles!

Isn't it adorable :) its very girly and pretty. You may not agree on its cuteness, but everyone have their own individual preferences. So remember girls, be confident and do not let others affect you ;) As long as you think it looks good, it will look good : D
The stick on are very easy to apply to your nails. However practice makes perfect. Firstly, choose a stick on that is almost the same size as your nails. Next, carefully place the stickon on your nails as it is very sticky. I recommend to press the stick on to the centre of your nails before proceeding to pressing on to the sides of your nails. Once, you are done proceed with filing your nails with a nail filer as seen below.

Skin Food: Nail Vita
Hey ladies, the internet at place has been slightly stable now. So i will use this opportunity to do a quick review before there a problem occurs.
I am sure many of us like to paint our nails, but not all nail polish gives a smooth application when applying it on our nails.
Introducing to you ladies : Skin Food Nail Vital : BR 612
I was rather surprise and pleased with this brand of nail polish as its application was much smoother than the nail polishes that i used to purchase at the face shop. And also, i received compliments from my friends that the color of this nail polish was unique and pretty :). According to the website, the contents of the skin food nail polish contains vitamins and keratin for stronger nails. The best part of it is that is it affordable even for students.
Pricing: 5/5 stars. $5.50 for a bottle of skin food nail vita polish
Effectiveness: 4/ 5 stars. Love the smooth application, however it does not stay for at least 2 weeks :(

ALL MY MAKEUP!
Okay, all my makeup is a post that i'm working on and am really excited to share with you guys. But while making sure my post is perfect, i wanted to share just a couple of nail art designs that i found online the other day. I was looking for some designs for my 21st birthday and came across some sites. Most of these are from the site called: nail art express. I'm 95% sure i got the name right. One or two were tumblr/google images... i think.
Unicorns are really really pretty. I wanted to have unicorns on my fingernails so badly but the manicurist i went to wasn't confident and i ended up with nails that are nothing like all these beautiful ones i saw online.
.
.
Cath Kidston-esque don't you think?
.
.
This is really princessy. Not my style but its really sweet.
.
.
I have an endless love affair with sparrows.
.
.
I think these make the perfect girl next door.
.
.
Galaxy inspired. One of my favorites and something i would definitely try in the future
.
.
This is simplicity at best. Something i would love to have someday too.
.
.
I don't remember where i got this. Often i see girls with mixed nails like the picture above. I think it's super cute, but the anal part of me would never allow my fingernails to be of a different color than my toenails, let alone different styles on each finger.
.
.
and yes, this post was really rushed, in case you were wondering.

Anna Sui : Nail Polish
Hey ladies, i am sure most of you uses nail polish. However some of you might be sensitive to the smell that emits out of the nail polish. It is a very strong smell that somewhat smell like alcohol.
But no worries, today i will be reviewing on a nail polish that doesn't give out that kind of smell, in fact it produces a floral smell.
Presenting to you : Anna Sui's Nail Polish
This item here really gives a girly vibe. Not only the packing of the bottle is cute, its application is also smooth. What's more, it produces a very sweet floral smell that last for almost 2 weeks on your nails. That's why i can't stop smelling my nails, because the scent its just too addictive. Lol! Also, i love the glittery bits in the nail polish.
I have nothing but good things to say about. The only bad side i can think of would be its bottle is slightly too small as compared to other nail polishes.
Effectiveness : 5/5 stars. Not only its application is smooth, but also the SCENT~~~
Pricing : 3.5/ 5 stars. I actually have no idea how much is it because it was my mom who bought it for me. But when i search on the net, its SGD $22/ bottle.

Konad: 2nd attempt
It's a little chipped because i took way to long to take a picture of it. But almost a week old, and i'm still loving this pattern/print. It doesn't look half bad on the right hand too. The double stamp is just so simple to use for smooth and quick application of the print. I'm addicted to konad.
ps: i have many activities hence the lack of posts. Going on a little trip + i've started on a new regime. Still, i will try my best to post at least once in 2 days? :D

Konad: Nail stamping ( interested in tutorials?)
Hi!!! I'm back with my nail obsession. Sorry about the little hiatus, got my pay, was busy shopping. Shopping is evil. Below was what i bought about a week ago at the Konad store at Far East Plaza. The haul was a total of about $41. The foot file alone is $11 but it's damn solid. The one i got from Daiso a month ago...i shall review on that another day.
1. Konad Footfile: Honestly, when i meant solid earlier, i meant it looks really solid, I have yet to rub it against the dead on my feet. My feet are hardened like stale bread from heels that i wear to work. Have i mentioned that i'm about 1.57m tall, although some days i feel 1.58m. :)
2. Basically the entire konad stamping set. This includes(in anti-clockwise):
a.The Double side stamp set
b.Long stencil holder (they have this in another shape)
c. Stencil number....i will update when i get home
d. Konad mini paint in Black
e. Konad mini paint in Silver
One lesson i learnt is: always buy the real thing. Before heading to the Konad store, i bought the "inspired" version of it from a push cart. The design was a lot prettier with a fairy being the reason i bought the stencil. Not only did it not work at all, the stamp that came along with it was tiny and the stencil did not stick. Konad has the same type of stamp but the rubber feels different. I love everything about a, b, c, d and e. Without the stencil holder the stencil might not stay and your design might not stick on the stamp as well. The double sided stamp works amazing for me because my little finger is tiny. If you use the bigger side of the stamp, the remainder of the design might stick on to your skin until your next good hand scrub. Apart from that, a major plus point is that everything's in pink!!!
Here is the outcome:
I love zebra prints and with this being my first attempt. I say it's not bad at all. "Nail art" DIY-ed. I used Black polish from The Face Shop as base and Konad's mini paint in white that my sister bought some time ago.
If you're interested in a tutorial do leave an anonymous comment saying YES! Let us know you're reading! :)

OPI:Not Like in the Movies + Black Shatter
One of the best shatter results i've gotten. Not like in the movies is a silver with some sort of blue-green tinge. On its own, a silver like this isn't really to my liking, but with the shatter.....me likey. Unfortunately, we can't control fully how the Shatter, shatters. As a result, i love my index finger more than the rest of my hand. Heh.
At the moment i'm trying out "konading" which is pissing me off more than anything. So until i master it, this might be the last of my nail updates. :)

"Nearly" French Manicure with OPI's Russian Navy and OPI's Last Friday Night
One word, GORGEOUS. I love the subtlety of my "nearly" french nails.Last Friday Night by OPI is disappointingly transparent on its own. The blue doesn't even come out without the use of a blue base. Russian Navy on the other hand, is LOVELY, lovely! It's a really dark blue with a purple tone, and under the light you can see tiny specks of red.
Summary:
Russian Navy OPI is a must get
Last Friday Night, you could spend that kinda money on mcdonalds and it would be more worth it. Not the best from the Katy Perry collection

Sally HansenInsta-Dri in 340 Cinna-snap
This has one of the most beautiful brushes ever!! It's wider and smoother than normal. Like i really good makeup/paint brush that is so smooth you wanna brush it all over your skin. Then again, i wouldn't suggest you do that with this brush, unless you want to get this fast dry paint all over you.
True to its name, the Sally Hansen Insta-dry, dries off almost in a minute. This comes in extremely handy if like me, you find yourself ruining your nails within the hour of doing it.
Of course i'm not saying that after a minute you can get all rough and start digging your nails into your hair and scratching on your scalp... its dry enough to function normally so you don't have to waste time sitting on the couch, blowing on your nails. You can run your hands under water, text, screw the cap back on a bottle without worrying that there's going to be a hugeass dent in your nail.
YAY! for Sally.

OPI Haul!
This gross hand is my boyfriend's. Because mine were already painted i needed someone else to model them.
From the thumb on your left to the pink on the right:
Not Like in the Movies
Russian Navy
My Private Jet
You Don't Know Jacques
Last Friday Night
I can't choose a favorite cause they're all so pretty!!! I got four of them off a website so they were $10 a pop. Last Friday Night cost me $18.90, the normal price you would have to pay for a bottle here. The thing i love about OPI is how rich/vibrant the colors are and how smooth the brush is. You really need to look for easy application in a nail polish.
I'm dedicated this week to nails. So look out for more to come :)

Nail Colors: The Face Shop BR801+ Nature Republic Mud
I've been busy!!! I promised a bb cream post, but i haven't been able to take pictures to show the before and after effect. In the mean time, i've been experimenting with nail colors the past few weeks. This particular pattern came from another blog i chanced upon online, but because i was sorta not suppose to be looking at beauty blogs i didn't manage the save the sites to credit them. Going to get a manicure can be a hassle when you have no time, so learning to DIY comes in very handy. For this pattern i chose to use The Face Shop's BR801 which is the light beige color that forms the dots. For the base, i have chose Nature Republic's Mud color. It doesn't state the color or product number so "Mud" is my own description for it.
After waiting for the bottom coat to dry, i use the round age of the bobby pin to dip into my bottle of nail polish and draw little dots on my nail. Given that the rounded edge of the bobby pin naturally drips circles, this is an easy task. Of course i would suggest that there be some trial runs first! :)
EDIT
I realised i said almost nothing about the products. Okay, the Faceshop nail polish at $2.90 per bottle doesn't allow me to complain much mostly because of how cheap it is. Only the nail polish at Daiso can beat their price, but that's another story for another day. But if i really had to scrutinize it, its obvious the Faceshop's nail polish quality has much left to be desired. The color and brush are thin forcing you to apply too many layers. Nature republic on the other hand has quality like sally hansen. I would recommend the Faceshop if you're just going for quality, and nature republic for quality.

Shatter by O.P.I
I first noticed this product at Far East Plaza where the different coloured bottles were placed on a Katy Perry stand. Even as a cardboard, Katy Perry calls for attention.
How i ended up actually buying it?
After walking around the neighborhood mall with my sister, one side of false eyelash was dropping. I didn't think anyone would notice it, but the lady selling O.P.I did. She offered me eyelash glue as we were walking away from her stall not intending to get anything. So in repayment to her kindness and out of curiosity, we decided to buy a bottle of Shatter.
The bad:
![]() |
Now, i wouldn't say that this had anything to do with the nail polish. This bad effect only happens if you're not very confident at painting your nails. It gets messy and rough. On the bright side, if you're really experienced at painting your nails, it should turn out like the picture below. Apply a top coat for the shiny effect or don't apply the top coat and it finishes like the Suede collection by O.P.I. The beauty of this product, in my opinion, is that it gets prettier by the day. I would suggest though that you use neither too light or too dark of a base coat as neither compliments Shatter in black.
It's 19 dollars for a bottle of fun. I love O.P.I, so i think it's really worth it!
