DIY: How to apply brown eyeshadow using Revlon Colorstay 520

Hey ladies, before i start on the tutorial of the application of brown eyeshadow, i would just like to say that i am not like Michelle Phan who is a professional in applying beautiful eye makeup. In fact i am an amateur in this. However, i am willing to take chances in stuff that would improve my appearances. So hopefully you would like this tutorial.

So in this tutorial, I will be using Revlon Colorstay 520 Brazen to achieve the brown eye makeup look as seen below.

So lets get started!

Step 1-2: Apply the bronze eyeshadow circled in yellow as seen in picture 1 and apply it all over the lids as seen in the yellow circle of picture 2.

Step 3-4: Apply the dark brown eyeshadow circled in yellow as seen in picture 3 and apply it on the eye crease as seen in the yellow circle of picture 4.

Step 5-6: Apply the peach eyeshadow circled in yellow as seen in picture 5 and apply it all on the inner corner of the eyes as seen in the yellow circle of picture 6.

Step 7-8: Apply the gold eyeshadow circled in yellow as seen in picture 7 and apply it all on the  top of your eyes as seen in the yellow circle of picture 8.

Step 9 -10: Using a liquid or gel eyeliner, draw a line as close to your eyelashes, And you're done!!

As seen from the above picture with me closing my eyes (hahaha), this eye makeup look is rather natural . However, if you would like the "brown-ness" to be more outstanding. You can always intensify it by putting more of the eyeshadow and also applying it higher so that it will be more visible when you open your eyes.

Revlon colorstay can be purchased in all Watsons store. I hope you like this tutorial and do feel free to comment if you have any question.

Maybelline Hyper glossy eyeliner in Orange

This year, vibrant colors are in fashion. This includes makeup! I am sure some of  our readers are hesitant in adding colors to their makeup look. But you know what, colors add a dash of fun to our looks and we only live once. So why not experiment with colors? Therefore, i have decided to try out maybelline hyper glossy eyeliner in neon orange!

orange eyeliner

The neon orange is such a pretty color. Application wise its not too bad and it doesn't smudge. However, i do not recommend ladies to wear this to work as it is rather loud. so lets take a look when i applied it to my eyelids.

I admit its not an easy color to pull off if you apply it alone on the eyelids, therefore i have paired it up with a black eyeliner to tone it down. I personally feel that this color is very suitable for partying as it very fun and funky.

Maybelline hyper glossy eyeliner can be easily purchased at all watsons store and john little. And do check out the other colors such as green, brown, etc. I hope you like this review, and have fun with colors :)

DIY Double eyelids : Double sided tape vs Eyelid glue

Most of the people whom are close to me should know by now that i am born with double eyelids. However, my double eyelids are uneven on both side of my eyes and they are not prominent and deep. I wasn't aware of it until a makeup artist started placing double eyelid tape on me when she did the makeup on me. And i realise having a deeper and more prominent eyelid really does make one eyes look bigger.
There are many ways to achieve double eyelids. Permanent way of achieving it would be having plastic surgery or temporary ways such as using double sided tape or eyelid glue.
Therefore today i shall review about the temporary ways and how they differ from one another, as well as how to achieve double eyelids.

Single eyelid

double eyelid glue

double eyelid

Step 1:  Place the double sided eyelid tape or eyelid glue right above your natural eyelids or even higher for a prominent double eyelid.

Step 2: Use the fork provided in the package for the tape or glue and press against the tape or glue to form the double eyelids.

Differences and impression: As you can see in picture 3, both ways are able to achieve the effect. However, at times the eyelid tape is visible and crumples too. Also, it can be quite painful at time when removing it. As for the eyelid glue, i love it as it is invisible, it looks much more natural  and it does not irritate my skin. However, when i use a makeup remover i am not sure whether i was able to completely remove the glue as it was invisible. But comparing to both methods, i would definitely opt for the glue rather than the tape although its costs slight more. Both products can be purchased at SASA.
