Review on Mary Kay's Satin Lips Lip Mask

Mary Kay is a cosmetic company that started in Texas, and has over 200 products in 35 countries.  I must say i am not familiar with this brand until i attended a makeup class with my friends at Style Essential inc that is located at Bras Basar area. The products that were used in the makeup class were Mary Kay products.
More info on the makeup class can be found here :  http://styleessentialinc.com

My friends and I during the makeup class

Why many of us aren't familiar with this brand, would be because it is not commercially available, and must be purchased either online or through their sales representative.  After trying out their products during the makeup class, i am rather impressed with certain products. Such as the lip mask, highlighter and the face primer.

I will do a review on their lip mask in today's post and the highlighter in 2 weeks time, so do look out for it.

Lip Mask

This lip mask acts as a lip scrub. It buffs away the dry skin on our lips, and makes the lips smooth. But what i love about this product would be how my lips would turn super pinkish ( my natural lip color).

As instructed on the box, spread the lip mask over your lips for 1 -2 minutes before washing it off. However, my makeup instructor taught me another method to use this, and i found it to be pretty effective.  All you would need is a Q-tip.

Just squeeze a small portion of the lip mask on the Q-Tip and rub it onto your lips in a circular motion. The product has a white creamy base and does not have any scent to it.

So from below, you can see the results on me and my mother after using this. The first picture would be my lips. Do notice how pinkish and soft my lower lip looks, and also how the crack lines on my lips are visibly lesser.
As for my mother, her natural lip color would be red. However her results aren't that effective as mine due to her age, as well as not taking care of her lips when she was younger. But from the photo, you can still see a difference in her lips.

Do note that all of our natural lip color is different. Some might be red, while others might be pink. Therefore using this product does not mean that you will have the color that you want.
This lip mask costs SGD $24 per tube.

Stay tune next week for new updates on other products. Till then, stay beautiful ladies.
